Hello Lauren. Great work. The fact of the matter is that these children (in this generation) infant to teen to early twenties are at a critical phase. They don’t really know where they are and the expectations are about as great as consequences to their actions. They have you to thank for giving them some sort of guided path.

I definitely agree. So much of the goal behind this book (and hopefully others to follow!) is to give kids control, direction, and ownership of their own states of self-regulation. 🙂

Hi Lauren,
I love your book! Thank you for creating it.
I received it from my therapist for my son who is ultra-sensitive and needs lots of guidance about self-regulation. Reading your book together is helping us both learn important guidance about ourselves.
I’m reaching out because I noticed in your “Kids Guide…Simple Stuff..” book that Chapter 1, “Label That Feeling!”, is missing an important piece in some areas – the “Just Right” feeling is not represented in the diagram and elaboration on p. 13, and again on page 18. I am going to draw/write them into my copy, because I think they’re SO fundamental. Just wanted to let you know, in case you have another printing, or create an online presence.
Also, I work for an educational non-profit that would like to link with other organizations/projects with similar causes, such as yours. If this sounds like something that interests you, please check out our website and let me know if you’d like to connect that way: http://www.nvcnextgen.org.
Thanks again,
Stephanie

Hi,
I just read your AWESOME book for an after school social skills program I run and all I can say is “WOW!” These strategies should be utilized in every school. I highly recommended it on my Facebook page,(Clubhouse Stars). I also run teacher development programs at a preschool in Scarsdale and was wondering if you ever speak at events.
